FAQ

Questions

What stops a chat window from skipping the rules?

The rules are checked on the server for every call, including calls from an old browser tab or a hand-written MCP request. Hiding a button is not the check; the server is.

Do the rules limit the AI tutor?

The tutor only uses the learner’s own tools, such as their courses and record, so it sits outside these kinds. Its answers come from the course, and it is switched off during a final test.

Can I see what the AI cost?

Yes. AI use is tracked per organization, and each automation run records its own tokens and cost.

Where are the rules set, and by whom?

In Settings › AI › What the AI may do. Owners and admins see every kind of action with its risk (looking, changing or reaching people) and its mode on each of the three surfaces, next to the default.

What does the AI never do?

It never changes its own rules, which are set on the web only. It never changes how people sign in, never registers an outside system or sees its secrets, and never decides a grade: a person does.
